BED uses a minimalistic approach to web-based software project management. BED mission statement; to help companies software development process to come under one roof and manage the business process smoothly. BED should impose as little as possible on a companies established development process and policies. All aspects of BED have been designed with one single goal, to simplify full software development lifecycle under one roof of software issues, enhancements and monitoring overall progress.

At the core BED is built upon a highly evolved process methodology, AIM (extension of RUP) and framework and architecture - SCOEPI. BED also is point-and-click configurable, enabling the rapid deployment of sophisticated solutions without the need for expensive, time-consuming programming. Using both the AIT tools (AIM & SCOEPI), all components are managed through Plug n Play Architecture and any enhancement can be directly link under the umberella of BED.

BED runs on the server computer. Users access it through their web browser on their workstation. The only requirement for the server computer is that it should have a Web Server and a Database. The only requirement for a workstation is that it has a web browser installed.

Around the core lies other modules, providing additional features and tools to make software development more streamlined and effective. Like the full BED is customizable with integrated security features driven on the basis of Roles and Menu’s.
